About adding text
Each text is drawn into every frame it shows on, then the GIF is encoded again at the quality you choose. The default of 90 keeps the picture very close to the original. Use Add another text for a second line in another place, such as the classic top and bottom meme text, or a caption that appears partway through.
Which font is used?
The meme font is Anton, an open-source font that comes with this site, so it looks the same on every device. The other fonts are the ones your device has, so they can look a little different elsewhere. Letters Anton doesn't have, such as Korean or Japanese, are drawn in your device's font.
